The eTOM, the SID and the TAM are at the heart of TM Forum's NGOSS. They provide the only standardized way within the telecoms industry to capture business processes, information entities and application management areas. This year's TM Forum Distilled series courses were set out to provide participants with comprehensive introductions to the Business Process Framework (eTOM), the Shared Information and Data Model (SID) and the Telecom Application Map (TAM) and their use in NGOSS compliant solution architecture transformations. Participants learnt how these framework have been used in successful projects and took part in practical exercises to enhance the knowledge gained during the courses. These particular trainings had a strong emphasis on learning how to apply the eTOM, the SID and the TAM in brown field and green field environments and align company specific architecture frameworks to the industry standards produced by the TeleManagement Forum.

ArchiTelco delivered several training sessions on behalf of the TM Forum in Prague, Munich, Moscow, Nice and San Jose in Costa Rica, they were all part of the TMF NGOSS Distilled programme. On the ETSI perspective, the @LIS Dialogue on Standards was part of a four-year cooperation programme between the European Commission and ETSI, for the promotion in Latin-America of some key European and other international ICT standards, with the purpose of stimulating the expansion of the Information Society in that region of the world. ArchiTelco organized and moderated all the key events across Latin-America during this year. Following is a summary of such events:

This workshop was organized in cooperation with Conatel (National Regulatory Authority in Venezuela) and CANTV/Movilnet. The key topics for these workshops were primarily NGN, IPv6 and NG-Digital Television from a technical and market perspective, as well as an overview of some important regulatory aspects from a European perspective.
